Aikido can be thought of as the martial art of not fighting. Like a surfer harnessing the power of a wave, aikido joins with an attack, rather than fighting against it. Training at Aikido Auckland you will become fitter, healthier and more coordinated. You will develop greater concentration, resilience, and more effective ways of dealing with conflict. You will also be part of a warm and supportive group of people who, like you, are interested in personal growth and development.
Alan Roberts, the Chief Instructor at Aikido Auckland, is a 5th degree black belt, and New Zealand's only long term apprentice from the school of aikido's founder, Morihei Ueshiba, in Iwama Japan. Training at Aikido Auckland links you directly to the Founder of the art.
Often the hardest part of any practice is just getting getting started. Aikido Auckland has made this much easier with regular Free Beginners’ Courses for adults and Free Trial Classes for children. Check www.aikidonz.com for upcoming dates.
