The Laingholm club is a small dojo hidden in the tranquil surroundings of the Waitakere ranges, 25 minutes from downtown Auckland. We welcome new students as well as those from other martial arts backgrounds.
There are 2 classes:
Kokodo Ju Jutsu is rooted in the teachings of Daito ryu Aikijujutsu. It is suitable for beginners in martial arts.
Takamura Ha Shindo Yoshin ryu (TSYR) is an advanced class and most suited to budo practitioners who have already gained a dan grade in a Japanese martial art. We focus on the budo principles of connection, balance and efficient body movement that transcend all styles. It is particularly suited to those with a Wado ryu karate heritage as it is the style of jujutsu studied by Ohtsuka Sensei.
