The Budokan is one of New Zealand's oldest Judo clubs, founded in 1955.
The Sensei, Alan Hoverd 5th Dan, has represented New Zealand and is expert in coaching and judging Kata.

The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Budokan Judo Club:
The club night is Tuesday. Children train from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. Adults from 6:30 to 8 PM.
On Wednesday there is a class for the bigger kids from 6 to 7 PM. The Randori class (free fighting for all ages) is from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.
Friday is for Kata (demonstration forms which teach correct technique) from 7 to 8 PM.
