Kofukan Karate Canterbury

Kofukan Karate Canterbury - we are a Karate club, teaching Karate, fitness, health and wellbeing to all of our karate-Ka. We are members of Shito-Ryu Kofukan International, Karate New Zealand and Canterbury Westland Karate. Our Karate-Ka are able to compete, and we have had a number represent NZ.

Our Sensei is Rebecca Merrifield (Dobson), she has been training in Karate for over 30 years, has trained and competed in a number of Styles, as well as representing NZ at the World Games (5th Place), Women's World Cup (6th place) 3 Oceania Gold medals and 23 NZ National titles.

Sensei is currently in the NZ Coaching pool and has coached NZ athletes at Oceania.
