Terrible place, with terrible Instructors. They wouldn't let me sit in on the first class and when my daughter finished the first lesson, she said that one of the Instructors called her useless. What sort of place does that to children?!?!
Much better martial arts classes in Palmerston North than the kung fu school, absolutely terrible, would not recommend to anyone!

I was having a read at the other reviews posted about this martial arts school, and I almost started laughing. They are all very positive and nice. However, all of them were posted on the same date. How dodgy is that? That in itself would be enough reason not to recommend this school. But that's not all. To any parents of children or to any adults interested in doing martial arts out there, I cannot emphasise enough that you should avoid this school at any cost. The way they treat students there (senior instructors yelling at students, a cult-like atmosphere of reverence to the main instructors) is extremely appalling and has been going on for years. I have known of students who try to stand up to this bullying behaviour and are kicked out as a result. Many decide to leave because of this, and even entire schools from other cities in the country have decided to part ways with the Palmy school in recent years. Absolutely not recommended.

Our first class was just fantastic me and some friends went to have ago, not sure what to expect, the warm up was so much fun but you really felt like you were working. When I didn't understand something the training partner I was with took time out to help I was blown away with that because they were black belts. When we left that night we all agreed that the class was amazing which meant we all went back for more and we are still training 6 months on.

I rocked up the night of a class and even though it was full of people as soon as I came in one of the seniors came over and asked me if I wanted to try it out. It was fire we did nunchucks and even though I was useless I still had a lot of fun and never felt out of place. 10/10 wanna come back soon

Great teachers, very helpful seniors the classes are challenging but rewarding. The facilities are superb great to train in a dedicated Kung Fu school.
Tried one class, lots of yelling - the heads of the school are over-weight, obnoxious people who spent most of the class chastising everyone but never demonstrated their own ability, except on one or two occasions, and boy, was it embarassing. I sense a cult like vibe, because a lot of their "senior" students seemed to look at them with awe.
Thankfully I was only in Palmerston North for a short while, gladly back training at my Karate dojo in Hamilton - recommend everyone STAYS AWAY.
