Seishin Ryu Karate NZ

Seishin Ryu Karate NZ is a friendly family orientated martial arts club that teaches traditional and modern Karate- do from mainland Japan and the Islands of Okinawa. It also teaches Kobudo or weapons and has a FREE public class each Saturday morning that focuses on basic to advanced Jiko Boei or self- defence techniques. It is a highly regarded club here in NZ and abroad and is one of the oldest clubs still operating with its original teacher for over 50 years. It is a founding member of the NZ Martial Arts Institute (www.nzmai.co.nz) and is the official school in NZ representing Seishin Kan Renmei, Japan, under Kancho Yoshitoshi Sato (10th Dan). Seishin Ryu Karate NZ Chief Instructor is Hanshi Chris Dessa (8th Dan) with 60 years of Karate-do experience nationally and internationally.
