We teach the system of Shodokan Aikido developed by Tomiki Kenji, and are affiliated with the SAF based in Osaka, Japan. A competitive style sharing similarities with Judo and Kendo, Shodokan trains students right.
Our head instructor is Peter Hind (3rd Dan). Pete has over 20 years experience in the martial arts, and has travelled extensively throughout Japan to further his abilities.
All adults are welcome to train with us, and a kids class may be available in the future!
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Shodokan Aikido Christchurch:
We currently train at the following times:
Mondays - 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
We alternate between Kihon (basics) and Randori (sport) oriented classes; please check our website (www.shodokanchristchurch.co.nz) or FB page (@shodokanchch) for details.
Unfortunately we are only able to accept students 16 or over at this stage.
