North Shore Branch was founded in 2006. Darren Louie, 5th Dan Black Belt, Daikenshi, has been the Branch Master of North Shore Branch since its establishment. Darren began training in 1991 to supplement his rugby training. Since passing his black belt, Darren has participated in seminars in Australia, Japan, America, Sweden and New Zealand. He even met his wife, Rachel, now a 5th Dan Black Belt, Seikenshi, through Shorinji Kempo.
Stephen Reid, also 5th Dan Black Belt, Seikenshi, takes the children’s class on Tuesdays, a structured programme that provides fitness, discipline and self-defence for 7-12 year olds.
