Auckland University Goju-Ryu Karate
Goju-Ryu Karate emphasizes a wide range of techniques appropriate to all types of people and levels of fitness. Karate cultivates personal strengths, the most obvious being the physical aspect. The challenge is no matter how hard you try there are always ways to improve.
Karate also encourages self-confidence, without promoting arrogance, if fostered in the right way. Karate is also an excellent anger and stress relief tool as your focus is removed from every day problems to the situation at hand.
Training allows you to mentally relax, even though physically it may be demanding. Above all, karate is physically and mentally enjoyable and allows you to meet many new friends and extend your social network.
