Great for Students (and everybody else)

This is an excellent and convenient place to train in Goju-Ryu karate, and offers the best prices I have ever seen for a martial arts class by far. Student discounts are offered due to the club's affiliation with the Auckland University Student Association. The instructors and higher ranked members are dedicated, competent and open minded, so the training is ideal for novice and advanced martial artists alike. Training is a good workout (depending on how many beginners are present), and basics, kata, bag-work, sparring and self-defense drills are covered regularly. Safety and a welcoming training atmosphere is a priority. This club is affiliated with the International Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do Federation of New Zealand, and training camps and guest instructors are available several times a year. I have trained here several times a week, year-round for the last 4 years, and have never regretted it once.
